Reports To: Principal Engineer
Classification: Full-time or Part-time

SUMMARY
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Assist in the design and analysis of power distribution systems.
- Conduct simulations and modeling of electrical power systems using software tools such as MATLAB, PSS/E, or ETAP.
- Support the development and testing of Intelligent Electronic Devices from different vendors (SEL, Hitachi, ABB)
- Participate in the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Perform data analysis and assist in troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily a professional office or remote work environment, with occasional visits to substations, client sites, or testing facilities.
- Prolonged periods of sitting or working at a desk using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other standard office tools.
- Occasional walking, standing, or light lifting (up to 25 pounds) during site visits or while handling technical equipment.
- May require wearing PPE and following safety protocols during occasional field visits or equipment testing.
- Must have clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) for screen work, reading diagrams, and detailed analysis.
- Adequate hearing and verbal communication skills for phone/video calls, presentations, and technical discussions.
- Hybrid schedules may include on-site collaboration with engineers or field staff depending on project phase and client requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
- Proficiency in simulation and modeling software (e.g., MATLAB, PSS/E, ETAP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainable solutions.
